Sorry, I ended this year with a surprise. And thanks for cheering me on at the awards ceremony so I can keep my chin up.
I guess what I want to share is that I really appreciate you all. I still don’t feel enough; I am less introverted no matter how old I am. But you continue to support me with never ending love and encouragement, and I thank you. I got more and more nervous with every word, and I forgot the most important part. So, again, thank you very much, and I’m sorry.

In the letter, Lee Jong Suk shared that he and IU had been friends since their mid-20s. He admitted that, although the two started out as friends, he had feelings for the singer which he had not explored for a long time.
