    Music Video for ‘Kill This Love’ Translucent 1.7 Billion Views, BLACKPINK Again Achieves Achievements

    On November 25 at around 2:53 p.m. KST, the music video for BLACKPINKThe 2019 mega hit “Kill This Love” on YouTube reached 1.7 billion views, according to YG Entertainment.

    BLACKPINK’s mega hit DDU-DUDD-DU is the first K-Pop group music video of 2019 to reach this milestone on YouTube, following “Kill This Love” which reached 1.7 billion views, according to YG Entertainment.

    Besides that milestone, this is the third K-pop music video overall after PSY’s “Gangnam Style” and BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” – to surpass 1.7 billion milestones.

    As a result, BLACKPINK has become the first Korean artist to surpass the milestone with more than one music video in addition to being the first K-pop group and to date to do so with a music video.

    “Kill This Love” took less than 3 years, 7 months, and 20 days to reach 1.7 billion views from its first release on April 5, 2019, midnight KST.

    In addition to the recent achievement of ‘Kill This Love’ which reached 1.7 billion views, the girl group also achieved another breakthrough.

    BLACKPINK is also the first k-pop girl group to have multiple music videos surpassing 1.7 billion views. this shows how strong their influence is with the public, while demonstrating their unwavering support and love of the blinks fandom.

    BLACKPINK is one of the most prominent 3rd generation girl groups in K-Pop. The group debuted from YG Entertainment, a label known for being the home of iconic groups like BIG BANG and 2NE1.

    The 4-piece group has been making waves since then, starting with the release of their debut album Square One, which consisted of the songs “Boombayah” and “Whistle.” The release also trended locally and internationally, receiving lots of love from the fandom.

    Various Concepts On The Black And Pink Side – What They Mean For The Group

    Another thing to note is that the group has a main concept focus, transitioning between showing their mature side in Black aspects. Going against the Black side, the group also performed the Pink Concept, which showcased their cute and lovely side.

    When they joined together, they formed BLACKPINK, as a way to give off girl crush vibes with a mix of sweetness. It also implies that they can be cool and adorable at the same time.

    Its members consist of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.
