BLACKPINK will soon be dominating Taiwan as part of their “BORN PINK” World Tour.
After marking the date of their first Seoul tour from October 15 to 16, BLACKPINK has been holding concerts in several countries in recent months. Shows were extended to next year, including Bangkok in January and Taiwan in March.
However, recent controversy has surrounded ticket sales after Live Nation Taiwan found discrepancies. Continue reading to find out what it is.
BLACKPINK ‘BORN PINK’ Concert Tickets Canceled

Taiwan local news outlet Taiwan News reported that four tickets sold during the official ticket sale on November 10 were canceled after Live Nation Taiwan found out that they were scammed soon after.
Tickets sold out within a minute of a four-round pre-sale. Initially, the ticket price was $276. However, four of the tickets were posted on a well-known e-commerce platform, selling for more than 45 times their original price.

Live Nation Taiwan and BLINK saw tickets priced at $12,576, causing world tour organizers to cancel the tickets in question. The tickets in question will be on sale again, but details of when the sale will take place are still unknown.

Following the incident, the organizers of the BLACKPINK world tour warned those who did the same that they would cancel tickets that were resold at unreasonable prices to promote fair sales among fans.

YG Entertainment and BLACKPINK have yet to comment on the matter.
The upcoming Kaohsiung, Taiwan concert will mark the girl group’s first appearance in the country after the 2019 show in Taipei.
BLACKPINK Reaches New Milestone
In other news, Circle Chart – formerly known as Gaon Chart – confirmed that BLACKPINK’s studio album “BORN PINK” was certified two million.

Circle Chart announced on November 10 and named 11 albums that successfully surpassed the new certification system released by the Korea Music Content Industry Association in 2018.
BLACKPINK previously made history by becoming the first Korean girl group to score double platinum in the same streaming certification. That achievement is manifested through his hit song, “DDU-DU DDU DU.”
Aside from BLACKPINK, BTS is also enjoying a win as their 2020 album, “Map of the Soul: 7,” earned a five million certification. This album eventually became the first album in Korean history to sell more than 5 million copies.
TWICE, aespa, Nayeon, TXT, NMIXX, NCT 127, Red Velvet, (G)I-DLE, Kim Min Seok MeloMance, sokodomo, D-Hack, and Pateko also appeared on the list.
In addition to Circle Chart recognition, BLACKPINK also set a new record with “How You Like That”, the lead single from their first full-length Korean album. The song is now the first song by a female K-pop artist to reach 700 million streams on Spotify as of November 9.
The song reached the milestone after two years, four months, and two weeks after its official release.
